This is the species of tree species belonging to the Paulowniaceae family. This is a native species of tree found in Asia.

The distinct feature of this plant is that its leaves look very large and pubescent. The said tree species are meant well to withstand a variety of environmental conditions, from hot to cold. While this can surely withstand a wide range of environmental conditions, this tree species are also known to not grow at higher altitudes.

Every year, it is a known fact that this species of tree can produce large quantities of biomass which makes it useful for producing biofuel.

Aside from cultivation and biofuel, another known use for this tree species is on lumber. The said tree species is being planted as a forestry tree nowadays. This is all due to the fact that it can produce strong yet light wood. There are many countries nowadays growing this for lumber, specifically North America and China.

Those countries which cultivate this species of tree as lumber will surely establish lots of plantations to serve their purpose. Of course, the popular commercial plantations will usually establish themselves using selected clones. The said clones that these commercial plantations use often resulted from micropropagation.

A lot of people know this tree species to grow to a height of more than 15 feet during the first year. That is only in the first year. That is mainly the reason why this tree species has been considered as the fastest growing hardwood tree. The harvestable size for the said tree species is usually around five to seven years.

The paulownia elongata is really one of the most useful hardwood tree species available in the nature nowadays. Whether it is cultivated or left alone, there will be people who should be able to make good use out of it. It is up to the person to determine what use will this tree species will be for them.
